I’ve been overweight for 10 years and tried so many things. Different things work for different people and I was lucky enough to find one that worked for me. I lost 22 pounds in one month without any exercise and it’s been a life changer. I’m a little embarrased to post my before and after photos here but if anyone actually cares to hear what I’ve been doing then I’d be happy to help in any way. Just shoot me an email at oceanflowers82@gmail.com and I’ll show you my before and after photos, and tell you about how things are going for me with the stuff I’ve tried. I wish someone would have helped me out when I was struggling to find a solution so if I can help you then it would make my day

    Dear Ms. Celes,

I’m agree with all the reasons you’ve listed above. “Excuses”, yes that should be #1. I’ve some experience about this matter. So, I will tell my story, so it might be useful to someone else.

I’m 25yrs old. Since I was a kid, I’ve been suffering & worrying about my weight. Not need to say both physically & mentally. For a long time, I had this thought in my mind, to lose some weight & maintain a healthy life. But, I could never achieve that for some reasons. & I’ve been eat a lot of carbohydrates & some junk foods. Anyway, at the beginning of March, 2011, I joined with some of my friends to jogging in the morning. After sitting in front of the computer all day long for years, that exercise was very painful. But, I didn’t give up. Lately, although my friends couldn’t continue, I did continue jogging. ‘Coz of #1 reason you’ve mentioned. You should be responsible. Later, for few months, me & my friends do some work out. & it also really helped me a lot. But still, I go for jogging in some days. Actually, I do that 10- 15 days in a month (4.5Kms – 8Kms). Somehow, you need some exercises. & yes, be careful about what you’re taking in to your body. Drink a lot of water. & another thing. Since I was a kid, I’ve been a vegitarian. So, I don’t east meat or fish. & I eat a lot of healthy vegitables & fruits, but eat foods like bread less.

So, now I will tell you the results so far. When I was starting to jogging in March, 2011, my weight was almost 90Kgs (considering my height 5ft 6″, it’s overweight). & since then, I’ve been keeping a track of my weight. I checked it monthly. So as usual, I checked my weight at the beginning of this June. It was 66!. That means I’ve lost 23Kgs so far. Or nearly, 26% of my original weight. not only that. Last January, my blood sugar level was about 245. That’s diabetic. It’s twice more than the level, a normal person should have. Anyways, now it is 110. :) So, I’m really happy. Actually, if I did it a bit harder, I could achieve that sooner than this. Anyway, I need to lost some more weight. I’ll give you a tip. Keep a track of your health, just like I did. ‘Coz, it will motivate you to carry on. All da best.

Just updated the original post and the manifesto with one new factor, making this a complete guide. (See Point #9 on water retention.)

  4. #7 uses the word “starvating”. Is that a word?

Gosh, this teaches me not to do editing work while doing other things. Will correct it now. Thanks for letting me know!
