21DPC Day 19 Question
Today’s positivity question is this:
What are 3 Positive Thoughts You Can Replace Your Negative Thoughts With? (See Day 18)
(For those with Be a Better Me in 30 Days, be sure to check out Day 26: Identify Your Limiting Thoughts where you unroot your limiting thoughts and Day 27: Replace with 3 Empowering Thoughts where you replace your limiting thoughts with empowering ones.
Your Task:
- Reflect and answer today’s question(s). Write as few or as many words as needed to fully express yourself.
- Uphold those 3 positive thoughts. Flood your consciousness with those 3 positive thoughts today. Write them down on paper and pin them up on your work desk. Pen them down in your to-do list. Set them as the welcome screen text in your phone. Repeat them as affirmations throughout the day. Air them openly while conversing with your friends. Observe how your consciousness expands as you embrace these positive thoughts.
- Identify at least one positive thing about your day. It may be something small or something big – as long as you deem it as something positive, it counts. If you have more than 1 thing to share, then by all means, go for it!
Share Your Answers!
After you are done, share your answers in the comments area.
If you’re doing this at the start of the day, you can post your answer for today’s question first, then work on your positivity task throughout the day, then return at the end of the day to share your results for your positivity task and your end-of-day positive reflection.
Check out other participants’ answers. Pick 1-2 participants’ answers and make a meaningful reply to them. Engage in the discussions. This is a group course, so let’s support each other in these 21 days!

What are 3 Positive Thoughts You Can Replace Your Negative Thoughts With? (See Day 18)
1. I am good enough.
2. I deserve the best.
3. He/ she can think what he/she wants. We respect each other and can find some area of agreement.
The three most postive thoughts in my life are….
I can do anything I set my mind too…
I have a purpose in my life…
I am special and a child of God.
I love these thoughts and I am going to post them so I can see them everyday!!!
One postive thought about today is I feel beautiful!!!!!
LOL! Wellllll…see, “Everyone is beautiful and created just to be exactly who they are!” would seem like a really good one, and is what I truly believe with all of my heart. However! It is that exact positive thought which sets off my negative thoughts! So, what sort of positive thought would be helpful to me? “Wow! You look soooo young!” “Wow! You’ve lost a lot of weight!” I can’t even do that, because it would be such a huge lie and would set off so much more negativity. Ugh! Do I just avoid that stuff all-together and focus on things like their shoes & such? Talents? This one is going to take some work, obviously. :(
This one is ingrained into my subconscious, brainwashing me to believe it even while I am proving it wrong. I just keep saying the same things: I am more than capable. I have plenty. etc., etc,. etc., and I really do keep saying those things…they just haven’t taken hold yet and most people around me reinforce the negatives, even in their own lives.
I am perfectly fine and wonderful! Everyone is different (Again, I believe, understand & accept this, but others seem to have a problem with it, which sets me off…) We are all designed to be our “unique” selves. The world would be a boring place if everyone were the same.
I got to go out for ice cream and it was a beautiful day!
I am a little bit behind with my answers, but anyway here I go…
I believe in myself completely, I have the power to achieve any goal I desire and there is success in everything I do. Those are my thoughts and I am trying to repeat them and internalise them as much as I can.
A positive thing: I went to the gym and had my zumba lesson, It energize me.
What are 3 Positive Thoughts You Can Replace Your Negative Thoughts With?
I am making more progress in my life than ever before – Instead of always feeling like I am not doing a good enough job I can simply compare my current efforts with my efforts from a few weeks or months ago. Usually there is a stricking difference and things have become much improved.
I’m already perfect – My imperfections/faults are part of what makes me who I am. I don’t have to resist and dislike those parts of me. I can simply accept myself as I am. Comparing myself negetively to others will never help me live the life I want.
If I let my true personality shine those who like me will love me 10x more – Not everybody will like me. That’s okay. People who do appreciate me will enjoy my company so much more than if I am holding back and not expressing myself. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”
Yesterday I made a really awesome new chili recipe. That’s something positive that happened. I also had a great jog.
What are three positive thoughts I can replace my negative thoughts with?
1. Will I ever have children? Of course I will! Because even if we don’t have biological children, there are other options, including adoption. Which I’ve always been open to, and I know not only would we be blessed with a beautiful child, but that child would also be blessed with loving parents.
2. I’m fat. Really, I’m not. I’m not overweight…I am actually at a healthy weight. But if I am unhappy with myself, I just need to work harder at changing myself! I think my real issue is that I’d like to tone up, and I’m in control of that! I just have to put my mind to it!
3. Why do people have a different definition of “relationship” or “friendship” than I do? Even if I have issues with thinking people are not sincere, I can still love them and respect them. I also need to realize that just because I’ve had past experiences with insincere people, doesn’t mean that everybody is like that.
One positive thing about my day: We have started the next step in our house-buying journey. Things are looking up for us, and hopefully we’ll own a place by the end of May! Yes!
What are 3 positive thoughts I can replace my negative thoughts with?
 (1) I can do it! (2) I can do this! (3) I deserve all the good things in life.
 The one positive thing about my day is to be able to show appreciation to my God sis by giving her something I hope she’d like and telling her how blessed I feel to have her support, care & concern, and guidance on my spiritual journey to become a Catholic.
1) They have no reason not to give me the loan, because I fulfil all requirements. Also, people in my department *will* want me to continue my studies and the university could probably sort out some accommodation if worst comes to worst.
2) I’ll keep trying new recipes and ask for help from fellow vegetarians :)
3) I’m already on my way to helping the world. And even little things count, so I’m changing the world for the better every day! :)
Positive yesterday: played Space Alert with the one society still active on holidays. It’s truly the most epic and creative boardgame/team-building exercise I know of! :D
BEFORE:
NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
“THE HURRIER I GO, THE BEHINDER I GET!”
Why? No matter what I do, or how quickly or efficiently, there is still soo much left to do, I’ll never get it all done! :(
NOT ENOUGH! Don’t have enough (time, money, resources), don’t do enough, just not enough.
Why? Not enough to pay all bills and obligations on time, don’t get everything done, time is flying by!!!
There are sooo many big, HUGE PROBLEMS IN THE WORLD, it is very scarey and depressing. :(
Why? Poverty, famine, the environmental crises, the economy, politics, war, etc. etc. etc., ALL ON A GLOBAL SCALE.
AFTER:
POSITIVES
There is plenty of time for me to do what must be done. :D
There is INFINITE SUPPLY available from INFINITE SOURCE, and I have an abundant supply of resources and money and means. :D
There are SOLUTIONS to all situations in this world, on all levels. I will do whatever I can to reduce my carbon footprint on earth and to expand lovingkindness, peace, goodwill, harmony, balance, health, happiness, self-realization and a spirit of cooperation.
POSITIVE:
The drive to the ocean was sublime, Soft warm breeze, car was taking the curvey road very well, Josh Groban was singing a beautiful love song on the radio, the long white stretch of beach in the distance has rows of coconut palms with their rich green fronds shining with sunshine, and the turquoisey blue sea was calling my name…..
I feel so grateful to be able to enter the calm as a lake sea today….and exercise and refresh my body in the salty, vast sea,
just me
and my positivity!
I think I could replace my negative thoughts by action on my situations and creating a budget plan for my fines and bills.
I am trying to avoid or stay away from negative people that in turn cause me to have negative thoughts.
I need to replace all my anger and disappointment over things in the past with my relationship and think of the reasons we are still together and the good we bring out in each other.
Even as I sit here typing this and know it to be true, it’s going to take some time to change my thinking on certain situations.
My positive: It was almost 80 degrees here today, beautiful outside and the girls’ grandfather took them shopping for the evening.
Thanks to Anna for commenting on my post, it has helped me on today’s task.
3 Positive thing to replace my negative thoughts are;
1 .’ For every horrible person, there are a hundred wonderful ones’ — thanks Anna  :D
2. I read something today that said that God had provided everything to us in abundance but we have the illusion of lack but our cup of EVERYTHING is always full so for all my problems and worries that bring negative thoughts i will thing my cup for that (e.g Finances, Love, Happiness etc) is full
ooh and one positive thing about today was that i completed two of my assignments and i got good grades too in one of my outstanding exam! i hope to ace the remaining one :)
Congratulations! Good luck for the remaining one
1. That love comes in as many forms as there are human hearts, so I need to exhale and expand my range of vision and hope and lowness myself from within.
2. That one only needs a few good friends and to remember how much they love me and are rooting for me, if even from afar.
3. That I have always prided myself on being an incredibly hard worker and dreamer.
+ snuck a lovely nap in today !
Hello, everyone, very very positive day…seams like my life is blossoming with spring :)) Every day it gets better and better and i am very excited about what is yet to come :)
1. I am safe and happy and there is no true danger form panic.
2.I am winning form beginning of this year against procrastination and rewards are many.
3.Be addicted to living life to the fullest not to people, things, feelings…all of those are a part of life but not whole for sure…
I won’t be a wife much longer, so I’m not going to focus on that aspect of my life. I’m working to be the best “me” possible. Trying to improve a little every day. I think I can honestly say “I’m a good person” and feel good about it.
This one may be a little harder for me. I don’t think I’m ready to say the opposite of my negative thought, but I am getting a lot more comfortable with myself and my appearance. So my new thought will be “I’m comfortable with myself and who I am.”
He is a good person. Even though I don’t agree with the things he is doing, I still believe deep down the person I loved and spent many years with is still there.
I few months ago, I created a phone wallpaper for myself that includes all of the things I want to be, the traits I want to demonstrate, etc. I look at it several times a day and review my goals and values every morning. It’s been a great reminder to keep myself on track and not get caught up in the negativity around me.
Positive things about today: The weather here is great! I had a good staff meeting today. I made my best friend laugh today, and he needed it.
1. I don’t know what I can do to make myself feel better about how I look. Again I feel good about myself that I have lost weight. I have bought new clothes, from the neck down I think I’m ok. I can still make improvements. But from the neck up, I don’t know.
2. I am trying to be supportive as possible to my wife. But I can’t control her actions, and I have learned to accept that.
3. This last one that I’m worth more dead than alive. I have turned myself around on this one. 6 years ago when I was depressed I had a plan to end it. It would have looked like an accident and not intentional and my wife would have got the insurance money and live a nice life with it. But now, there is no way it’s right that she would receive that money because of something I do to myself. I am not even close to being that depressed anymore. I know now that the insurance money is there only for an accident/illness. That is what my father had planned. When he passed away all of sudden that insurance money is what lets my Mom live the life that she does now. In my father’s will he even included a letter in there for us saying the following. He knows it’s going to be hard right now because something has just happened to him. But our life will go on. Yes it’s sad he will not be around to see it, but the one thing that your Mom and us (my brother and I) do not have to worry about is where will we live, eat, etc. That is why he can rest peacefully, knowing we will be taken care of.
I’m going to get back to the positive thing for today. It’s been a though provoking few days. So I will need to find something good.
Ok here is a postive thing for today. My best friend just called me to see if I was really ok. This day 18 and 19 question has been hard because of some things that happened this weekend. She even tried last night to get me to get out of my funk mood. It took a while, but it worked. And for her to call me today was very positive for me. I’m lucky to have a best friend like her.
The negative thoughts from yesterday were:
1) The human species has changed the Earth’s climate and environment so much, and so quickly, that it’s almost certain we won’t be able to stop or reverse the damage – at least not for hundreds or thousands of years. I carry this thought around because it really bothers me that so many people just don’t care and/or are unwilling to change their habits, and because our actions have such a terrible impact on other living things.
2) I’m lazy. This is one of those negative “self talk” bits I haven’t been able to eradicate. While I’m very much *not* lazy about taking care of the dogs, getting things done around the house, fitness, and eating well, I don’t have a full-time job. Even though I’m lucky enough not to need one right now because my boyfriend has a good job, I feel like I’m lazy because I don’t.
3) I’m boring. I feel like I don’t have much of anything interesting to say. While I might be interested in a particular topic, I don’t think most other people want to hear me yammer on about it.

What are 3 Positive Thoughts You Can Replace Your Negative Thoughts With?
1) The only thing I can do to not feel as bad about this is to think of things on a larger time-scale. Geologically, what we do doesn’t matter much. And when you look at the universe, or even the Milky Way, the actions of humans are completely inconsequential.
2) As I said yesterday, we don’t need the extra money that I might be able to generate with a full-time job. It helps if I think about how so many people are unemployed right now, and it’s better if jobs go to people who really need them than to me.
3) I try to think about how most people seem to like me just fine, despite what I think of myself. So I guess I must have interesting things to say at least some of the time.
Identify at least one positive thing about your day.
– Finished a commission I’d been putting off for a while!
1. My positive thought for “I’m no good at my job” comes from a list of positive affirmations I have already saved on my computer, and I read it through when I start feeling bad about myself to remind myself that I CAN do it!! It is: “I am well trained for this. I have the experience, the tools and the resources I need. I have thought through and prepared for all possible issues. I can do a superb job.”
I can also feel good that every day I gain more experience and that next year I will work on some of the issues I face when I go back to university to study further – here I will gain more skills and teaching experience and be trained to be a teacher in the UK :) (at the moment I am teaching English abroad and am only TEFL qualified). I’m looking forward to knowing more about teaching and to gain more experience in an educational environment (whereas right now I am learning on the job).
2. Positive thought for “I’m a joke to everyone”. Not everyone thinks you’re a joke, there are a lot of people who love you and respect you and deeply care for you. Those that laugh at you are not the ones who matter. And if they laugh at you, at least they are stopping you from taking life/yourself too seriously!
3. Positive thought for being in debt: taking out money for your education is an investment in the future, and it won’t be long before you can start paying it back (with the job you get after you have studied!) right now you have enough money to live and eat and be comfortable. You are careful with money and have a good attitude towards it, so that will help you to pay off your debts when you are able to do so. For now, don’t let it get you down and as long as you have enough money to get you by, you don’t need any more than that. There is nothing that can make you happy that you don’t already have – you don’t need money to be happy. Be confident that you can pay off your debts – and you will.
Task:
Points One and Two: I already have a job-related positive affirmation list saved on my computer… now I’m going to repeat, repeat, repeat! at work, in class, whenever I have doubts. Same goes for Point number 2. I can repeat to myself – people respect you. I can be respected. if I feel that people are not taking me seriously enough.
Point Three: I have a vision board so I’m going to write on there “I can pay off my debts!” :)
Positive things about today: day off work, lie-in, spoke to a good friend who helped me resolve an issue I felt negatively about yesterday, I heard from my brother and sisters and we are going to do something really nice for our parents.
